Jody Dozono

With over 20 years as a geriatric and palliative care physical therapist, I see the limits of the healthcare industry everyday. Defining people by their pathologies, the age-old practice of honoring the whole person has been lost. My calling to death care and companionship was born out of listening to people’s stories, fears, and wishes, yearning to be heard. As a non-binary queer person of color, I honor each individual’s values and experiences as unique and important. I bring a deep understanding of the aging process, attunement to the individual and their loved ones, and a passion to honor life through death.
